Who preceded Achashveirosh as king?[1]

Achashveirosh was preceded by Koresh [and Daryaveish]. Achashveirosh took the throne towards the end of the Jew’s 70-year exile in Bavel. [Belshazzar, the son[2], or grandson[3], of Nebuchadnezzar, who ruled Bavel, was assassinated by Daryaveish.[4] That night Daryaveish became king of Media and he gave over the kingship of Persia to Koreish.[5] Others write that Koreish reigned after the death of Daryaveish.[6]]
