Chapter 50: Eizehu Mekoman
Halacha 1
- The Sages established that one is to recite the chapter beginning Eizehu Mekoman and the beraisa beginning Rabbi Yishmael after the recital of the Tamid.
- The reason: This was done so that everyone will merit studying Scripture, Mishnah, and Talmud every day. As the beraisa of Rabbi Yishmael takes the place of Talmud, since Midrash is equivalent to the Talmud.
