Saying Parshas Rosh Chodesh in Karbanos:[1]

It is customary of Ashkenazi Jewry to recite the Parsha of Uviroshei Chodsheichem in Shacharis after the Parsha of the Tamid.[2] This custom is not followed by Sephardic Jewry.[3] [It is not recited according to Chabad custom.[4]]

[1] 421/1; Admur 48/2 “It is customary in these provinces to mention the verses of the Karban Musaf of Rosh Chodesh together with the Parshas Hatamid in order to publicize that it is Rosh Chodesh.” See Admur 591/6. Practically however, based on Admur in the Siddur these verses are never mentioned together with the Tamid.

[2] The reason: This is done in order to publicize that today is Rosh Chodesh. [Admur ibid; M”A 421/1]

[3] Michaber ibid

The reason: As in any event these verses will be recited in Kerias Hatorah. [Michaber ibid]

[4] Admur in Siddur omits it completely from Karbanos. See previous footnote for ruling of Admur in the Shulchan Aruch.
