Chapter 54: The return to Jerusalem

  • The joy of Jerusalem: In the future, Jerusalem will rejoice and break out in song for the multitude that will return to her.
  • Repopulation: The desolate cities of Israel will become filled with the Jewish people.
  • No more shame: Do not fear any longer Jerusalem as you will no longer be ashamed and embarrassed, and the shame of your widowhood will no longer be remembered.
  • With great compassion the Jewish people will be gathered back to Jerusalem.
  • No more floods or anger: I swore that I will no longer bring the flood of Noah to the world and so too I have sworn no longer get angry at the Jewish people.
  • The unbudging kindness of the Jewish people: The mountains will move, and the valleys will fall but my kindness and love for the Jewish people will not move.
  • Rebuilding of the temple: My poor stricken children who are suffering and have no comfort, for them I will rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple with sapphire stone. Their windows will be made of precious stones and their cases will be made of special rock.
  • Torah scholars: All the Jewish people will become Torah scholars and live in peace.
  • You will not have to fear any of the enemies as nobody will start up with you, as soon as they try, they will fall. Any weapon they will make to fight you will not be successful, and you will beat any of that in a debate of justice.
  • This is the good inheritance that will befall all the servants of G-d.
