Introduction:
The following chapter will discuss when and when not one may tie a knot on Shabbos. Doing so involves at times a Biblical prohibition, at others a Rabbinical prohibition, and at others is completely allowed. This is dependent on many factors. This is dependent on the amount of time the knot is meant to last for and the form of the knot, as will be explained.
