The following chapter will discuss the laws of setting up dividers and roofing on Shabbos. Roofing is defined as any item which hovers over a surface, such as an umbrella, or a tent, or a table. The problem involved in setting up the above items on Shabbos is because it is a subcategory of the building prohibition[1]. At times it is Biblically forbidden at others only Rabbinically and at others it is even initially allowed to be done. These details will be discussed in this chapter.
