Chapter 50: G-d’s eternal bond to the Jewish people
- The cause for the exile: G-d says, have I given a bill of divorce to your mother, and have I sold you in exchange for a debt? It is only due to your sins that you have been exiled.
- Waiting for repentance: Why have I come and waited for you to repent when no man has answered My call? Am I not the one who with one shout dried the land and turned rivers into deserts. I can make the heavens wear dark clouds and make the Gentiles wear sackcloth.
- Clear prophecies: G-d has given me clear prophecies which are understood by the listeners. G-d has opened my ears, so I be befitting of receiving His prophecy.
- Yeshaya speaks of the oppositions he faced during his prophecies and how G-d always stood by his side.
