Chapter 43: Redeeming the Jewish people from the Babylonian exile
- G-d’s love for the Jewish people and his saving them from a calamity: The Lord who has created Jacob and Israel states, “do not fear as I will redeem you.” You will pass through water and not drown; you will pass through fire and not get burned as I am Hashem your G-d who will save you. The Jewish people are very precious in my eyes, and I love them.
- Gathering the exiles back to Israel: I will give my command and both the scattered of Israel in the North and the South will return to Israel.
- G-d’s power and greatness: The prophet now speaks of G-d’s greatness, his capabilities and powers and that he is the only deity and ruler.
- Placing water in the deserts: I will place water in the deserts to quench the thirst of My people Israel. The animals of the field will praise Me for this.
- Forgiving the Jewish people: I G-d have forgiven the Jewish people for their iniquities, and I do not recall their sins.
