Is Tachanun said in Shul when a Sandek is present during the Minyan?

Tachanun is omitted in a Minyan in which a person who will be a Sandek that day is participating in, even if the Bris will not be taking place in that Shul. Tachanun is recited in the Mincha prayer if it is taking place after the Bris, even if the Sandek is present. However, the Sandek hismelf does not recite Tachanun even in Mincha.
