
A Nefel, or any child who died prior to circumcision, is to be named at the time of the circumcision.[2] [This applies likewise for a female Nefel, that if she died prior to being named, then she is to be named prior to burial.[3] This applies whether the child was born dead or alive.[4] The custom is to give the child an uncommon name.[5]]
