12. Commemoration meal:
Many are accustomed to make a celebratory meal with family and friends on the day of the Yahrzeit.[1]
Saying over a Dvar Torah in the name of the Niftar:[2] It is customary to recite a Torah teaching in the name of the Niftar on the day of the Yahrzeit.
Zimun:[3] Some have the custom to make sure there are enough men to perform a Zimun by the Yahrzeit meal. Some are accustomed for the Baal Hayahrzeit to lead the Zimun on the day of the Yahrzeit. [This is not the Chabad custom. ] See Chapter 25 Halacha 10!
