1. Creation Through Combinations
- Creatures are formed through various combinations, substitutions, and transpositions of the twenty-two letters.
- Changing the arrangement of letters results in new forms and beings.
2. Unique Roles of Individual Letters
- Each letter has a unique written shape indicating the specific life-force it carries.
- The letters draw from Divine attributes, will, and wisdom to sustain creation.
3. Unified Power of Letter Combinations
- When individual letters combine to form words, each letter contributes a unique power and life-force.
- Beyond these individual contributions, a higher, overarching power unites and transcends them, granting both specific and general vitality to creation.
- This unified life-force is essential in supporting the diversity and intricacy of the created world.
4. Gloss – The Unique shape of the Letters
- Each of the twenty-two letters serves as a conduit for a unique life-force and power, reflected in its distinct written shape.
- This individuality symbolizes the specific flow and manifestation of divine light, life, and energy expressed through each letter.
5. Examples of the Creation and Structure of the Heavens
- The heavens were formed through the divine utterance, “Let there be a firmament,” which not only brought the seven heavens into existence but also endowed them with unique components.
- Each firmament serves a specific purpose, such as Shechakim, which houses millstones for grinding manna for the righteous, and Zvul, home to the heavenly Jerusalem, Holy Temple, and Altar.
- Another level, Machon, contains storerooms of snow and hail.
- Collectively, the heavens exist and are sustained through the aggregate power of the words in this divine command.
6. Impact of Dominance and Subordination in Letter Combinations
- In combinations, dominant letters shape the creation while others are subordinate and included in its light.
- This dynamic leads to diverse beings across various levels of existence.
