Daily Tanya Wednesday 3rd Elul Igeres Hakodesh 10: Awakening the Light for Rectification

3rd elul

🕊 The Importance of Guarding the Torah

A person must uphold the Torah completely, without deviating even a hair’s breadth. Such devotion draws down divine light from the Infinite (Ein Sof).

⚠ The Damage of Straying

One who departs from the path of Torah diminishes the holiness above. This person loses the level of divine illumination they could have drawn through proper observance.

🌌 Repair Through Supreme Light

This spiritual distortion can only be corrected by drawing down the transcendent light that is beyond the worlds — called “Supernal Kindness” (Chesed Ila’a) and “Abundant Kindness” (Rav Chesed).

This light is infinite, unbounded, and surrounds all worlds from above.

🔄 Awakening the Light for Rectification

When a person awakens it through actions below (“Itaruta d’Letata”), this supreme light enters the worlds. It repairs all spiritual damage and renews the divine radiance with even greater strength.

✨ The Greatness of Ba’alei Teshuvah (Returnees)

Hence the teaching: “In the place where penitents stand, the perfectly righteous cannot stand.”

Those who return are able to bring down a new, even stronger light than before.
