๐ฏ๏ธ 1850 โ The Passing of Rabbi Meir of Premishlan
In the year 5610 (1850), on Shabbos, the 29th of Iyar, the holy Rebbe Rabbi Meir of Premishlan ืืฆืดื returned his pure soul to its Creator. Known among his contemporaries as a baal mofes (miracle worker), he was one of the most beloved tzaddikim of his generation, drawing thousands who sought blessing, guidance, and salvation.
Rabbi Meir, son of Rabbi Aharon Aryeh Leib of Premishlan and grandson of the great disciple of the Baal Shem Tov, assumed leadership after his fatherโs passing and became renowned for his simplicity, humility, and boundless love for every Jew. He was especially known for judging all ืื ื ืืฉืจืื favorably, finding merit even in those considered distant, and for his extraordinary dedication to charityโoften giving away everything he possessed to support the needy.
In his final days, he hinted repeatedly to his followers that his ืืื ืืกืชืืงืืช was approaching. As Shabbos came, his holy soul departed in purity, leaving behind a legacy of ahavas Yisrael, faith, and wonder that continued to inspire generations. He was laid to rest in Premishlan, where his resting place became a site of prayer and remembrance.
His teachings and stories were preserved in works such as Divrei Meir, Or HaMeir, and Marganita DeRabbi Meir, ensuring that the light of the Premishlaner Rebbe continues to illuminate hearts long after his passing.

In the year 5641 (1881), the gaon Rabbi Faish Fishman, son of Rabbi Yechezkel of Pressburg, passed away. He was among the distinguished Torah scholars of his generation and played an important role in the leadership and spiritual strengthening of his community.
๐ฏ๏ธ 1942 โ The Martyrdom of Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner of Radzin
In the year 5702 (1942), the holy Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner, son of Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Elazar Leiner of Radzin, was murdered alโฏkiddushโฏHashem during the Holocaust in Wลodawa. With his death, a radiant chapter of spiritual leadership was tragically cut short. Yet the legacy of the Radzin dynasty continues to illuminate the hearts of the Jewish people for generations.
