While such a Minhag is recorded in Poskim, and mentioned by the Rebbe regarding Kos Shel Bracha of public farbrengens, the longstanding Chabad practice as verified by venerate Chabad Rabbanim is not to say ones own blessing by Kiddush, and this is only done by Hamotzi.
