The corruption of justice leads to plague as well as to an economic recession.
B. The punishment for bribery and corrupt judgment:[2] [Talmud]
A person who accepts bribery and corrupts judgment does not leave the world until he forgets his Torah study, or becomes a pauper, or loses his eyesight.
